The Republican Party establishment and media have pressed presidential candidate Donald Trump for specifics on policy. And this morning, they’re going to get some when the GOP frontrunner will host a press conference at 10 a.m. at Trump Tower to announce his tax plan and tax policy.
“I am very excited about this plan,” Trump said in a Sunday press release announcing the press conference. “It is one of many steps necessary to help Make America Great Again.”
Trump’s tax plan will feature rate cuts for almost all tax brackets. He said his goal is “a major tax reduction for almost all citizens and corporations, in particular, those in the middle and lower income classes.” Corporations and job producers will benefit from the plan, he said, with an emphasis on businesses and reversing “corporate inversion,” whereby large corporations and the wealthy keep their money outside the United States to avoid taxation.
