Saturday, Republican presidential candidate U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio will be in Ames to tailgate at the Cy-Hawk game between the University of Iowa and Iowa State University. Marco will be joined by his state chairman and former Cyclone football player Jack Whitver and a special guest as he meets with Iowa voters prior to the state’s biggest college football game of the year.
Rubio will start in Lot D-4 on the corner of Fourth Street and University Boulevard at 10:30 a.m. He will make stops at various lots throughout the afternoon. The Republican Party of Iowa, Boone and Story County Republicans, and U of I and ISU College Republicans will be tailgating in Lot S-7 east of Jack Trice Stadium.
