Parents always want their kids to follow in their footsteps, but should that necessarily include their sexual proclivities? One political analyst who has appeared on both CNN and MSNBC recently said, “Yes.”
In a guest opinion in the Washington Post, political commentator Sally Kohn, who is a lesbian, said she wants her daughter to be a lesbian, too. The piece, titled “I’m gay. And I want my kid to be gay too,” Kohn offers a dialogue that might set her at odds with many others in the “homosexual rights” movement.
“When my daughter plays house with her stuffed koala bears as the mom and dad, we gently remind her that they could be a dad and dad. Sometimes she changes her narrative. Sometimes she doesn’t. It’s her choice,” she wrote. “All I ultimately care about is that she has the choice and that whatever choice she makes is enthusiastically embraced and celebrated.”
